Mountaintown’s Summer Orchids

Not the stereotypical orchid, the Yellow-Fringed Orchid (Plantanthera ciliaris) has been blooming for a little over two weeks in dry banks and fields. They’re called “Yellow-Fringed” despite their orange sherbet color.
